Town Towels Edinburgh – Holyrood Park Tea Towel- Tea|Tea Towels

Not many capital cities can claim to contain a microcosm of the nation’s best countryside all within the confines of a park. Edinburgh, with its stunning Holyrood Park is an exception. The 650-acre area contains lochs, glens, ridges, hills and large patches of wild gorse – everything you might expect to find in the highlands, yet tucked on the edge of the capital city.

The crown jewel of Holyrood park is Arthur’s Seat, with the sheer drop of the Salisbury Crags to the west. The seat is the highest point of the city, rising up 251m, and is visible from all around. From the top, the scale of the crags and the city below give a picture-perfect view of the classical and Gothic architecture Edinburgh is known for, contrasting with its slick modern parliament building at the base of the park.

Edinburgh is a city that has captured the hearts of so many – a feeling that can be shared next time you’re drying the dishes.
